"Introduction to Music"

Give your child the gift of music! Music lessons train the mind,* develop fine motor skills,** establish a healthy ability to concentrate, and boost self-esteem.

Group Music Classes for children 5-6 years old. Lessons include singing, listening musical pieces, rhythmic games, and playing percussion instruments that will help them develop rhythm, pitch, and fine motor skills. Your child will learn the basic elements of music theory as he comes to understand the piano keyboard and the note each key produces. This introductory course consists of six lessons for only $90, and will let you determine if your child might want to continue with lessons.  Small groups of 4-5 students. A piano at home is desirable but not required.

Piano Lessons for Young Children
Piano Lessons for all ages

* Music improves academic skills. Music and math are highly intertwined. By understanding beat, rhythm, and scales, children are learning how to divide, create fractions, and recognize patterns. It seems that music wires a child's brain to help him better understand other areas of math, says Lynn Kleiner, founder of Music Rhapsody in Redondo Beach, CA ~ Angela Kwan, Parents Magazine

** Increased eye-hand coordination is almost a given for children that learn to play the piano, but there is more than that. Kids who play the piano have improved fine motor skills and, unlike other instruments, the piano requires both hands to work independently of each other, one moving fast while the other may be moving at a slower rate. All of these things help to increase a child's overall dexterity and complex thought processes. ~ Bryce Casellman, TopTen Review
